As the season changes our news-feeds change colours too. Before you know it you’re scrolling through countless autumnal shots with burnt orange leaves and in a flash the frosty season arrives and all you want to do is hibernate.
After all, the autumnal excitement is all in preparation for the winter months ahead when things get that bit colder and the trees are left bare, such as now. It’s freezing all the time, and maybe you’re less of a wimp than I, but this winter I’ve found myself attempting to wear my coat indoors despite the heating being up full blast.
It’s the ideal time of year to hide away at home wrapped in cosy blankets, watching movies whilst sipping hot chocolate. But before you do that you must make your home have that extra layer of cosiness.
I recently have been introduced to Cox and Cox a brand providing hand picked home-ware items mixing eclectic and striking pieces. And the best part they offer great quality at a price point that won’t break your bank account even in January. In preparation for the winter months Cox and Cox asked me to check out some of their new range.
I opted for a large glass bottle vase that looks great sprawling with bare twigs plucked from the garden. The scale is hefty so sits proudly on a sideboard/console or even positioned on the floor.
My copper obsession continues with this industrial copper light mixed with a timber finish.
But there’s one ingredient missing, one of …
Tala’s beaut bulbs – which will certainly warm up your room!
Your home won’t feel quite right unless you’ve got some fresh flowers injecting some life into the room, and for flowers one needs vases of course. I loved the new ceramic and concrete vase, slim enough to be placed on a dining table without blocking out your guests or perfect accompanied with a taller more substantial vase.
How cool is the contrast band at the bottom where the two materials meet one another?
To brighten up the darker months I selected these fun mix of Three Vintage Mirrors to add extra light into the hallway. The collection works well in a cluster, the bevelling details give the mirrors extra depth and are suspended on industrial chains.
Another stunning mix of materials.
I also couldn’t resist sneaking in some left-over Christmas chocolate, this time of year is screaming for treats it’s a must to beat those January blues after all.
So that’s my little taster of added elements to make my/your home feel extra snugly for the next few months until Spring pops up.
Time to snuggle by the fire, eat those last chocolates and dive into some online shopping.
Get the look…
Go check out Cox and Cox they’ve got sumptuous throws and before you know it your shopping cart will almost combust… My latest purchase is this stunning throw for the end of my bed.
