During London Design Festival there were so many incredible exhibitions to visit it ended up being a whirlwind of endless events. One of the last exhibitions I visited was Decorex, an event that presented the best in luxurious interior designs. Pushed for time the design team and I whizzed around in search for new exciting pieces. I’ve rounded up some of my highlights from Decorex take a peek at the snapshots below.
First up was French designer Le Deun Luminaires that portrayed low energy lighting with simple geometric forms.
The multi-coloured soft furnishings stand by A Rum Fellow provided a bright eye-catching display of contemporary designs.
Timorous Beasties offered a unique collection that combined pattern with engraved wallpapers.
Next up Alchemy Finishes brought a diverse range of creative painted finishes to their stand. They offer over 150 different finishes that adjust pattern, texture and tone to create an exclusive design.
Ochre showed a stunning collection of pendant droplets with an elegant, jewellery feel to their design.
From a distance I spotted these playful geometric designs by Loomah Bespoke Carpets.
I stopped by Paris Ceramics and ogled over their finishes as always, this new addition quickly stole my heart.
House of Hackney went for an outrageous approach with their stand plastered with wallpaper and soft furnishings in Peoneden Chinese Red. The upholstered items on House of Hackney’s stand were Tigre Velvet taupe and Panthera velvet that added a wild touch.
In the centre of the exhibition there was an interactive installation from Watts of Westminster as they demonstrated how they hand block print their wallpaper.
The lighting series continued with Art Et Floritude’s leaf wall installation.
Onto Baroncelli’s fantastic designs that seem to be popping up everywhere I go, check out The House of Peroni event where I last saw an incredible installation.
Volevatch represented their new collection birds of paradise with a dramatic ambient stand.
I loved Little Greene’s quirky design showcasing their colours in modular interior blocks.
Fromental are one of my most used wallpaper designers, they shared a beautiful hand embroidered display of wallpaper on a silk background that was spectacular.
Giles Miller are a brand that continue to amaze with their hand-made products that create beautiful innovative surfaces that form unbelievable sculptured designs.
Harlequin London provided a fabulous collection of dinnerware, the inspiring display provided a magical way of dressing the table for special occasions.
Graham and Green outlined a mixture of bold designs with an eclectic feel.
Brabbu designed this beautifully upholstered stool with an inlay metal.
Check out this fluffy chaise lounge by Amy Somerville, we took it in turns laying on this piece of furniture. Now we know what it would be like to cuddle up to a polar bear.
Andrew Martin’s stand entwined a variety of fun textures and busy wallpapers for their creative stand.
SCP demonstrated their contemporary lighting designs and reclaimed furniture.
Bluebell Gray had a colourful collection of soft furnishings.
Jallu Ebenistes used a mixture of French tradition and modern techniques to create their bespoke pieces with lavish finishes.
Ashton and Bentley represented the timeless English designs for their freestanding bath range the creative twist presented a colourful mix on the walls.
Bursting through all the creative spaces we needed a time out, and swung on the copper Gravity chair by Myburgh Designs, before we made our way over to the champagne bar to discuss our favourite pieces.
