To celebrate the summer season Pimlico Road Design District flung open the doors to all of the interior and antique showrooms for an evening of parties throughout the road.
After a rather action packed day at Masterpiece London, we decided to reward ourselves with a trip to The Orange Pub before touring the showrooms.
There are so many incredible interior showrooms that it’s physically impossible to swing by all of them, but I attempted to squeeze in a few with a whirlwind pop and stop type situation.
First visit of the evening was Jamb, they specialise in traditional lighting and striking architectural details, you can check these out here.
The showroom is clad with grand fireplaces, and antique lanterns that adorn the space.
Soane Britain always has one of the most beautiful showroom spaces, you may recognise their items from last year’s Pimlico Road Street Party.
I absolutely love the use of the bold red sideboard against the patterned wallcoverings and natural sisal rug. Plus I’m sure you agree the Daisy Hanging Light, which is made from hand-woven rattan in a scallop shape, looks stunning placed above the white rattan furniture and dressed with fresh foxglove flowers.
Rose Uniacke is an interior designer and antiques dealer, the showroom has a mix of contemporary and antique pieces and is definitely worth a visit. The online shop has a great collection to view. I got a bit distracted by the cured meats hence the minimal shots of the interior but it’s well worth a visit.
Amy Somerville is on of my favourite places to source furniture as the pieces are contemporary with crafted detailing. The showroom has a vibrant mix of colours with an eclectic fun feel.
Lastly I headed to Promemoria’s huge showroom to see what new items they had presented. This impressive cabinet caught my eye, with asymmetric drawers and wrapped with a bronze finish.
The chunky Boccaccio armchair stood out with its bold orange fabric and solid bronze outer frame.
The Nina chair is also a piece that presents Promemoria’s ability to create unique and unusual furniture.
The Design District wound down before I could hop into the rest of the showrooms but with so many inspirational interior spots to visit I’ll have to spend some time sourcing on Pimlico Road soon.
